The Dreaded Question

Every time i meet someone, i dread the question.

"Hey, so you finished your stpm right?? What you doing now??"

"Not working??? Oh i see."

" So what course you intend to apply for?? What??!! Still not sure????", *glares disapprovingly*

Oh well. That's how most conversations generally go. I would say its kinda impossible to avoid it. How i wish they would just give me a break. Is it so hard to accept that some people just aren't sure what they want to do for a living yet? I don't want to regret this decision i'm making so why not take a little more time?? Nothing wrong with that right? I guess i just have to pray a little harder for directions. =)

Well just wanted to share some lyrics of a song. well just the 1st verse and the pre-chorus. Very meaningful.

Casting Crowns
Who Am I lyrics

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wondering heart.

Not because of who I am.
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.
-------------------------

Thank you. =)

well ming it becomes a matter of keeping your cool and not being flustered by the pestering, pertinent and can-be-annoying question. we cant stop pple from asking and making the same old comments.
see it this way - sometimes it is like the common chinese habit of asking whether you have eaten whenever pple meet you... so habits die hard
or it may also be a case of pple running out of ways to start conversation with someone who has just finished stpm - and this is the safest line - not that they are really interested to help guide you to choose
dont worry - no one knows you better than the One who creates you - even you yourself cant claim to know yourself fully - ya be open to seek from God direction into the course you will take from this point ... check and discover your likes, preferences and gifts and also info on the various options - what it entails etc...am sure you are aware
haha i will not disturb you - can share what you are mulling over -no problem ok??

People only say that because they are surprised that you have not decided yet. Many others your age have already planned out their entire life ! Which is not necessarily a good thing >.<
Take your time. You're right, this is not a decision that should be rushed. At the end of the day, it's YOUR life, and YOUR decision. Aja aja !!! :)
